Although there has been no "official" announcement regarding the locking of the bootloader on the HTC EVO 3D, online retailers are showing accessories available for the new dual-core smartphone from Sprint, suggesting a release date soon.
After the announcement by HTC CEO Peter Chu that HTC will no longer lock bootloaders, many are wondering if the the dual-cored HTC Sensation and HTC EVO 3D will have locked or unlocked bootloaders.
An HTC fan received and email from HTC's Peter Chou saying that the HTC EVO 3D will be unlocked.
The HTC EVO 3D does not come with a kickstand. However, you can buy a case with a kickstand, secondary batteries, car charges and speakers from Amazon.com, which some contend will have a release date coming soon. Sprint's website shows a 'summer" release date.
A leaked promotional piece showed the price of HTC EVO 3D to be $199
and $100 off with a trade-in of an HTC EVO Shift 4G or HTC EVO 4G and $10 a month premium data add-on. It will come with a free preloaded copy of The Green Hornet in 3D and a download of the Black Eyed Peas song Phenomenon.

processor and dual 5-megapixel cameras, which can be used to capture
both conventional and 3D images and videos. Features include a
1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G/4G mobile hotspots, Google Voice
for Sprint, 4GB Internal memory/1GB RAM, microSD slot (supports up to
32GB memory card), Wi-Fi, Stereo Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA, HDMI port and
a 1730mAh Lithium-ion battery.
