A leaked Verizon document shows May 26 as the release date for the next Verzion 4G LTE smartphone, the LG Revolution, along with the Droid X2 and Sony Xperia Play.
The document notes that the LG Revolution features Netflix, HD recording/playback, DLNA, HDMI, 4G mobile hotpsot, wireless charging, and added-on LG user interface. It will be the third 4G LTE Android smartphone in the Verizon lineup, after the HTC ThunderBolt and Droid Charge.
Each previous 4G LTE Verizon Wireless
smartphone was delayed many times prior to launch, so we don't want you
to get your hopes up on May 26. The good news is that all Verizon
Wireless 4G LTE smartphones will have free mobile hotspots until June 15.
The LG Revolution is the first phone to run Voice-over LTE (VoLTE).
The LG Revolution has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon
processor, DLNA, HDMI, DivX compatibility, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and
4G/LTE mobile hotspot
capabilities, and a
microSD card slot. Other features of the LG Revolution include recording/playing 1080p HD video and a rear-facing, 5-megapixel camera and front-facing camera for video conferencing.
The LG Revolution
has an MSM8655 + L2000 processor with graphic enhancements, 16GB of onboard
storage, 16GB microSD card installed, 1500mAh battery, a flash for the
camera, voice commands from Nuance, voice dialing and voice dictation, and the front-facing camera is
described as for "video telephony."
Previous leaks suggest a $249.99 price tag. It appears in our list of the top Android an' Droid phones now and later.
