Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphones, such as the Droid Charge and HTC ThunderBolt, aren't always released on the announced release date, but they do offer super-fast speeds. Verizon 4G LTE customers have the choice of the HTC ThunderBolt, Droid Charge, and sometime in the near future, the LG Revolution.
We thought that the LG Revolution would be released on May 26 along with the Droid X2 and Sony Xperia Play because a Verizon affiliate email showed a May 26 release. However, we haven't seen anything from the Verizon news team today, which would be the day that they usually announce for a Thursday release.
Promotional materials and dummy units for the LG Revolution have been seen and photographed, suggesting that something will be happening soon. We've also seen Tweets that say, "This LG revolution is too thick......they wont let me take a pic of it."
If you are wondering if you should wait for the LG Revolution over the other 4G LTE smartphones, we suggest you check out the sneak peek of our Verizon smartphone comparison chart on Facebook. We will be making more Dare 2 Compare articles soon.
The LG Revolution features Netflix, HD recording/playback, DLNA, HDMI, 4G mobile hotpsot, wireless charging, and added-on LG user interface. It uses the Bing search engine for search functions.
The LG Revolution has
a 4.3-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, DivX
compatibility, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G/LTE mobile hotspot
capabilities, and a microSD card slot. Other features of the LG Revolution include recording/playing 1080p HD video, a rear-facing, 5-megapixel camera, and a front-facing camera for video conferencing.
Previous leaks suggest a $249.99 price tag. It appears in our list of the top Android an' Droid phones now and later.
