MobiTech Fest Finalists Announced - App Dev Platforms & Cloud Synchers in Running

The finalists presenting at this week's MobiTechFest East venture conference in Cambridge, Mass., have been announced.  The winner will receive a $50,000 prize package.

The 13 companies selected to present at MobiTechFest seek a range of funding seed - first institutional round, additional funding, Series-A and B rounds - from $2 million to $20 million for development, manufacturing, launch, acceleration or expansion.
The finalists are:

  • AFK Interactive's M4 mobile development platform allows online
    games publishers to easily extend their games' features, communities,
    and virtual marketplaces to all mobile platforms.
  • aKos Technology Corporation, based in Schaumburg, IL, is an award-winning mobile money transfer company.
  • CaptureCode, a Massachusetts based company, provides mobile marketing, integrated m-commerce and CRM solutions.
  • Cyandia, based in Syracuse, NY, delivers rich, synchronized content on any HTML5 capable device, in any location.
  • Human
    Engines, based in San Diego, CA, is a software development company
    focused on delivering cutting-edge user experience software for mobile
    & consumer electronics devices.
  • iBuildApp, is a Do It
    Yourself automated engine for building mobile applications, magazines,
    eBooks without any programming skills.
  • iGenApps based in
    Guaynabo, PR, is the developer of a patent-pending, application
    generator platform for mobile devices.
    iM@ (pron. "I'm at"), a Westport, CT based mobile content &
    messaging provider with a partner leveraged, hyper-local advertising and
    transaction revenue model.
  • Moofwd, based in Princeton, NJ, is a mobile app development foundry
    that provides a platform for enterprises to mobilize their business
    processes and systems .
  • neXva based in San Diego, CA, is the creator of a unique end-to-end mobile
    app distribution platform .
  • Telcare, based in Bethesda, MD, has developed the world's first
    cellular-enabled glucose meter.
  • Touchnote, based in London, England, is a developer of an application
    that turns your photos into real picture postcards.
  • Vyycore with operations in Israel and Santa Clara is a fabless design
    startup for Predistorter and Power Amplifier Solutions for the handset
    market.
