Sony Ericsson unveiled the new Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro, powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread on 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Both phones have similar software and Reality Displays with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and HD video recording (720p).
The Xperia mini is dubbed the world's smallest Android smartphone that has HD video recording with the tagline, "a rocket in your pocket."
The Xperia mini pro has a a slide-out keyboard. Facebook inside Xperia integrates social connections throughout the phone by making Facebook accessible from the most-used areas of the phone, such as the picture gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar.
Both Xperias have 3-inch touchscreens, PlayNow service, Sony Ericsson Music Player, TrackID music recognition, 5MP camera, 3D games, FM radio, BPS, DLNA, Wi-Fi, and Memory card. A 2GB microSD (up to 32GB) and 200mAh exchangeable batteries are included.
Facebook integration main features are:
- Single sign on to Facebook.
- Contact sync with Facebook.
- Calendar sync with Facebook.
- Facebook photos in your phone.
- Gallery Music player Like-button - when listening to a track in the included music player, you now will be able to click "like" on a song while listening to it.
- Media discovery widget - A widget is included that automatically shows you the videos and music that your friends have recommended on their Facebook wall.
