AT&T is going big, thin and small today. The big news is that the Samsung Infuse 4G is infused with a 4.5-inch 480x800 Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen. This one is called razor thin. AT&T also starts offering the small, yet powerful HP Veer today.
Samsung Infuse 4G is the biggest Super AMOLED Plus screen available. It is priced at $199 from AT&T with a contract, which is lower than the $299-priced 4.3" Super AMOLED Samsung Droid Charge that went on sale at Verizon yesterday.
4G connectivity is via HSPA+, which is slower than Verizon's 4G LTE.
Samsung Infuse 4G runs Android 2.2 on a 1.2GHz
Hummingbird processor. Other Infuse features include an 8-megapixel
camera with HD 1080p video recording, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel
camera for video calls. 4G connectivity is via HSPA+.
Samsung has also added-on the Samsung TouchWiz interface and other features found
on Samsung Galaxy S phones, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Buyers receive a $25 credit to download entertainment from Samsung Media Hub.
The Samsung Infuse 4G Super AMOLED Plus screen improves the color of AMOLED screens by adding 50% more subpixels for better contrast and visibility.
The JustUs app combines both social media and text activity from five favorite contacts into an animated wallpaper.
