Starting today, AT&T Sony Xperia X10 owners will be able to get an update to Android 2.1 Eclair.
The update to Android 2.1 adds 720p video capture, multi-touch support, continuous autofocus, video face detection, and two more home screens.
To get the Sony Xperia X10 update, you must have a PC with an internet connection. Make sure your Xperia X10 is fully charged, and have your USB cable ready.
You'll be prompted to back up personal data and settings.on your X10. Updating your Xperia X10 will delete personal information, so it's extremely important to back up beforehand.
Here are all the improvements in the upgrade:
- HD video recording.
- Pinch/Zoom touch for mobile internet browsing and Google Maps.
- Social phone book which automatically syncs contact pictures from Facebook and more.
- Better camera functionality, quicker load times, better integration with the LED flash, and a continuous autofocus mode.
