Sharp is introducing an Android phone - the AQUOS PHONE - a smartphone that gives users more enjoyment, thanks to a high-quality graphics engine and the ability to link with AQUOS LCD TVs.  The Sharp AQUOS Hybrid 007SH is unique in that it is a waterproof clamshell phone with a 3D screen.  We're wondering how a 3D screen would look under water.

The Sharp AQUOS Hybrid 007SH features Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 16MP camera, a 3.4-inch WVGA 3D-capable touchscreen and a flip-out numerical keypad.  It comes in four colors:  aqua, white, pink and black.

The AQUOS PHONE can connect to an AQUOS LCD TV via HDMI, so users can enjoy videos and games stored on their phone, as well as Internet HD videos and other content, on the large screen of an AQUOS LCD TV.  It also offers DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) home network standard, so users can stream content from AQUOS TVs or Blu-ray Disc recorders wirelessly on their AQUOS PHONE.

Another feature of the AQUOS PHONE is a high-quality graphics engine, incorporating the image-reproducing know-how that Sharp has built through its AQUOS LCD TVs.  This engine utilizes image-sharpening technology, which gives extremely natural renderings of the borders and contours of images, and color-adjustment technology, which adjusts color intensity and brightness to give users high-quality images of mobile device broadcasts, Internet videos, and content from AV equipment over DLNA networks.
