Sprint announced the Motorola Photon 4G with a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a summer release date. It will be the second dual-core processor smartphone on Sprint, after the HTC EVO 3D that is due out June 24.
The Motorola Photon 4G is a world phone with GSM capabilities, a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen, dual cameras and a kickstand. Other features include Enterprise security, HDMI connectivity, 16GB storage on board, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, hotspots and a 1700 mAh battery.
Like the Motorla Atrix, it supports a media dock. The webtop app lets users view the web in a Firefox browser on an HD TV.
The Motorola Photon 4G will come with MotoBlur preloaded for social networking and media. Sprint has not announced a price yet.
