The HTC EVO 3D, the first 3D smartphone in America, will be promoted this Friday, June 24, with a pop-up 3D RadioShack store in Los Angeles near the Beverly Center in West Hollywood.
We never heard of pop-up stores before, so we called the PR rep who didn't disclose much information. We think it's going to look like a Jolly Jumper that they rent for kid's parties or a used-car tent sale. It would be really neat if it looked like a pop-up card. We asked if Andy Android would be there for photo ops and didn't get an answer. We will, however, get photos after the store opening and post them to Facebook.
The blow-up HTC EVO3D store at 8747 Beverly Blvd will be open to the public as RadioShack's HTC EVO 3D pop-up store. From 11 am to 7 pm PST, visitors will be able to test the HTC EVO 3D in person and will be guaranteed that there is one in stock for them.
Visitors can check out the EVO 3D up close and also trade in old phones with the Trade-and-Save options.
