Sprint has announced that the HTC EVO 3D will be released on June 24. Preorders are being accepted now. Also introduced on the same day will be the HTC EVO View 4G.
Sprint Premier customers can buy the HTC EVO 3D online on June 21.
The HTC EVO 3D has a glasses-free 3D screen to view movies from BlockBuster or HTC Watch, with a preloaded Green Hornet movie in 3D, or videos recorded with the two cameras. Prescription lens-wearers should be forewarned that you have to be wearing the correct lenses to see the 3D properly.
We were given a demo last week, and the HTC EVO 3D had to be at the exact focal point for the corrective lenses worn in order to see the image in 3D. You can see a video demo recorded on an HTC EVO 3D here.
HTC EVO 3D will come preloaded with the Blockbuster On Demand app, HTC Watch, Ultimate Spider-Man: Total Mayhem 3D demo.
The HTC EVO 3D has a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core
processor and dual 5-megapixel cameras, which can be used to capture
both conventional and 3D images and videos. Features include a
1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G/4G mobile hotspots, Google Voice
for Sprint, 4GB Internal memory/1GB RAM, microSD slot (supports up to
32GB memory card), Wi-Fi, Stereo Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA, HDMI-out via USB, and
a 1730mAh Lithium-ion battery.
