The HTC Sensation 4G was supposed to have a release date at Walmart on June 12, and other outlets on June 15. However, some Walmart, T-Mobile and Costco stores have been selling the super sensational dual-core smartphone early.
Walmart shoppers have been able to nab the HTC Sensation 4G smartphones as early as June 8. It appears that Walmart is also discounting the price to $148.88. XDA Developer forum members reported buying the HTC Sensation from Walmarts in Charlotte, NC; New Orleans, Wichita Falls, TX; Kansans City, Denver, CO; Mount Holly Road, East Meadow, NY; and Horsham, PA. There were reported sales at the T-Mobile store in Florence, SC and Costco in Chino Hills, CA, on June 9.
One shopper took a photo and noted, "The phone looked and felt sexy as hell!"
Forum members also reported stores throughout the country that would not sell the HTC Sensation 4G until June 15.
Forum
members are pretty savvy because they noted that, since most T-mobile stores
claimed to have had some and returned them to HTC for some "bug fixes,"
it would be better to get the new
ones from T-mobile on June 15 than the ones from Walmart.
The buyers called stores to find out that they were in stock and
then managed to get the associates in the stores to sell the Sensation to
them.
Of course, you can order the HTC Sensation 4G from T-Mobile.
