There have been some new leaks about the next Nexus smartphone with pure Google and super-sized specs. The next Google Nexus smartphone is code-named Nexus Prime, is manufactured by Samsung, and may come from more than one carrier.
It was already revealed that the next-generation Nexus Prime would have a super processor, LTE and will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream
Sandwich, with a release date around Thanksgiving for grateful Android
fans.
Other leaked specs suggest that the Nexus Prime will have a dual-core OMAP4460 (1.5GHz) processor, a 720 HD "monster-sized" Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1GB of
RAM, 1080p HD video capture and playback, a 1-megapixel front-facing
camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. It supposedly will be without hard buttons for navigation.
Our etymology came very close. We knew that it would have an S or $G after the name because it would be confused wit the Nexus S 4G.
We guessed that the next Nexus would be called Nexus LTE One, Nexus Dual
1.5, Nexus Pro, Nexus X, Nexus Beast or Nexus I (for Ice Cream
Sandwich).
We got two letters right. Instead of the Nexus Pro, the smartphone is
code-named the Nexus Prime, which makes us wonder if it will be ready for
Prime Time and have some kind of movie, TV or video rental.
The current Nexus S was the first smartphone to have Android 2.3
Gingerbread, and the next Nexus Prime will be the first to get Android
4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
