Samsung Galaxy News: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 6/24 Release Date @ Sprint

June 24 is the release date for the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint and is also the release date for the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 through Sprint direct-ship outlets.  The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be the 16GB Wi-Fi version and sell for $499.99. 

To use the Sprint network, they suggest the you buy the MiFi or Overdrive.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and supports many USB accessories, such as  keyboards, joysticks
and gamepads.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs 1.25 pounds (565 grams) and has a
10.1-inch HD touchscreen WXGA (1280 x 800).  Features include a 3MP rear
camera, a 2MP front camera, Nvidia Tegra 1GHz dual-core processor,
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI out port, DLNA, a 7000mAh battery and enterprise
encryption.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes preloaded with the Samsung UX, Samsung Media Hub, Reader Hub and Social Hub.

The custom "Samsung TouchWiz UX" has a Live Panel menu for customizing the home screen and "Mini Apps" tray.

Samsung's Social Hub service aggregates
email, instant messaging, contacts, calendar, and social network
connections into a single interface.

Samsung Media Hub allows users to rent/view movies and includes an
HD Extender to play back Media Hub content on a TV through an HDMI
cable from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 dock or adaptor.

Samsung's Readers Hub offers books, newspapers and magazines.
