Smartphone sales were monitored by Canaccord Genuity analysts T. Michael Walkley, Charles John, and Matthew D. Ramsay, who show the top smartphones sold for each carrier.
The iPhone was the top seller at both AT&T and Verizon. At AT&T, the second- place smartphone was the iPhone 3GS followed by the Samsung Infuse 4G.
At Verizon in June, the iPhone was followed by the Samsung Droid Charge and HTC ThunderBolt 4G. The Droid Incredible, Droid X, and Droid Pro were in the top three until the 4G LTE HTC ThunderBolt and Droid Charge went on sale.
The HTC EVO 3D was the best-selling smartphone at Sprint, followed by the HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. Other popular models in previous months were the HTC EVO Shift and BlackBerry Bold.
At T-Mobile stores in June, the HTC Sensation was the top seller, with the Samsung Vibrant 4G in second place, and the HTC myTouch 4G in third place. In previous months, the top sellers included the BlackBerry Bold, T-Mobile G2 and T-Mobile G2x.
