Previously it was reported that the LG Thrill 4G would have a release date on August 7. A leaked screenshot from RadioShack revealed a delay of the release date until August 21.
An internal RadioShack information screen states:
"AT&T LG Thrill 4G delayed until August 21 for store managers and sales associates:
The AT&T LG Thrill 4G will not launch on August 7 as previously announced on Answers Online. The new launch date is now Sunday, August 21.
With the launch again postponed we will continue to offer customers preorders on this handset through Monday, August 15 customers will still need to purchase a $50 RadioShack gift card to reserve a handset for launch day."
The LG Thrill 4G was promoted with a big concert on Monday, by Jane's Addiction. Audience members were given the 3D smartphones to record the concert. Video of the concert called the first user generated 3D concert documentary will be available on YouTube August 4.
It is not clear yet, if AT&T has delayed the release date until August 21.
The LG Thrill 4G is an AT&T-branded LG Optimus 3D with a glasses-free touchscreen. RadioShack began taking preoders for on Saturday.
