There have been leaks of forthcoming Samsung smartphones that will be affordable and cheap for prepaid networks, while the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G was launched in Canada.
The first leaked photo shows the Samsung Admire expected to be sold at MetroPCS with an 800MHz processor, a 3.5 inch touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel camera and running Android 2.3. It is expected to sell for $149.99 after a rebate and not be able to access the MetroPCS' 4G LTE network.
Invisible Shield from Zagg showed the Samsung Escape SCH-R730 just one number from the Samsung Rookie, with a model number SCH-R720, that is expected to come out from Cricket and will be able to access Cricket's Muve music service.
The photos don't reveal much except the Samsung brand name. The Samsung Admire photo does show a 3.2MP camera on the back.
Meanwhile, although nothing has surfaced recently for U.S. Samsung Galaxy S II, the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G smartphone has been announced to have a July 21 release date at Bell Canada. There was a green ice sculpture of Andy Android at the launch event.
Trademark filings and previous leaks suggest that U.S. models of the Samsung Galaxy S II will be named Attain, Within and Function - from AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, respectively.
