Samsung Galaxy S II News: Samsung Galaxy S II Release Date in U.S. within August Functions to Attain iPhone 5 Rivalry

Yonhap News reported that Samsung's Shin Jong-Kyun said that Samsung expects the Samsung Galaxy S II will launch in the United States in August.

The release date will make it a direct competitor to the iPhone 5.  The Samsung Galaxy S II has a Super AMOLED touchscreen and dual-core processor.  Reviewers of Samsung Galaxy S II are calling it the iPhone rival and giving it Editor's Choice Awards.

Recently, there have been leaked photos of the Samsung Galaxy S II   Within from Sprint and FCC filings heralding that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be coming to the Unites States soon. 

U.S. Trademarks (Attain for AT&T, Function at Verizon, and Within at Sprint) also have been filed.  It will make it into our "Dynamic Dual-Core Smartphones of Summer" comparison chart.
