T-Mobile to Offer Cheaper Value Plans on July 24

Most wireless plans subsidize the price of the smartphone over months, causing the month rate to increase.  T-Mobile will launch Value Plans on July 24, in which paying a higher price for the phone will bring down the monthly rate as well as to bring up the cost of the phone.  CNET reported that the new plans include unlimited talking and texting with 2GB of data for $59.99 or unlimited talking and texting with 5GB of data for $74.99.

T-Mobile has announced the exact rates they will offer single-line and multiple wireless-account options with prices for talk, text and data (with 2GB, 5GB or 10GB options for HSPA+ data).

After the allotted amount of data is used, data is throttled down for the rest of billing time.

T-Mobile's Value plans are available with two phone options using an existing phone purchase or a new phone when the new phone will be paid for in monthly installments.

T-Mobile's new Value and Classic plans are expected to be available beginning July 24.  In addition to the unlimited Value and Classic plans, T-Mobile also will introduce new Value plans for small-business customers this summer with additional details available in the coming weeks.

T-Mobile continues to offer no annual contract plans with its Monthly4G plans, as well as Pay As You Go plans for as low as 10 cents per minute for voice calls.
