Verizon is pushing out a glitch fix update for the HTC ThunderBolt, with data connection, call history, resets, Bluetooth, app menu and other improvements.
The update adds My Verizon, V CAST Music and V CAST Videos, and desktop cradle app. The update removes and disables the free mobile hotspot feature that ended July 7.
This HTC ThunderBolt update adds and enhances Android 2.2 Froyo. It is not the anticipated update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The update will take you approximately 12 to 15 minutes to download the software, depending on network conditions.
Once you download the software, the next step is to install it. Installation should take up to an additional 7 to 10 minutes. Keep in mind that, during the installation, you will be unable to make or receive calls, including emergency calls.
We also suggest that your battery be at least 40% charged and that you back up your data first.
