The well-reviewed Verizon Wireless iPhone 4 represented almost one third of the U.S. iPhone 4 market, reports Localytics, while AT&T iPhone 4 is 68% of the share vs Verizon iPhone 4 at 32%.
Verizon Wireless iPhone use started heating up during the late spring and early summer. Localytics suggests that the rapid increase may be due to the planned usage-based data-plan pricing that started yesterday.
They also speculate that, when the iPhone 5 is launched in the fall, Verizon may continue to gain market share rapidly.
The data was garnered through iPhone 4 apps running Localytics.
What's interesting to note is that previous data showed that the 4G LTE Samsung Droid Charge was almost neck and neck in some Verizon stores with the Verizon iPhone 4.
