Windows Phone News: New ZTE, Acer, Fujitsu & Samsung Galaxy S II Clone

There were some new Windows Phones shown at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Los Angeles, today.  The Windows Phones, that support Mango, include ZTE, Acer and Fujitsu.

The most interesting is a super thin and light Samsung Windows phone that looks like the Samsung Galaxy S 11 that features a front-facing camera.

The fact that the makers of the new Windows Phones (ZTE, Acer and Fujitsu) usually make entry-level smartphones, suggests that Microsoft may introduce much lower-priced, cheaper smartphones.

Andrew Lees, president of the phone division, noted the following Windows Phone facts:

  • More than 42,000 registered marketplace developers.
  • More than 1.5 million developer toolkits downloaded.
  • More than 22,000 applications and games in the Windows Phone Marketplace with an average of more than 100 new titles each day.
