BlackBerry News: BlackBerry Torch 9810 8/21 Release Date $49.99

AT&T announced via Facebook and RIM announced via Twitter that the BlackBerrry Torch 9810, the first 4G BlackBerry smartphone is coming August 21 to AT&T.  It will be available for $49.99 with a two-year contract.

smartphone along with a slide-out keyboard has a 3.2" touchscreen (BlackBerry Liquid
Graphics) a 1.2GHz processor, 5MP camera
with HD 720p video recording and 8 gigabytes of onboard storage.

BlackBerry 7 OS
delivers speed, efficiency and UI enhancements and enables new hardware
capabilities, including HD video recording, more fluid and responsive
graphics, digital compass, and augmented reality. Browsing
with BlackBerry OS 7 is 40% faster than BlackBerry OS 6 smartphones and
100% faster than BlackBerry OS 5 smartphones. BlackBerry smartphones
can use significantly less data because the BlackBerry platform is more
efficient. 

4G speeds are delivered by HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul.

Verizon announced today that the BlackBerry Bold 9930 is onsale online and will be in stores August 25.
