U.S. Cellular announced that the all-touch BlackBerry Torch 9850 smartphone will be sold in stores on Aug. 26 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate along with purchase of a data plan Buyers who switch from another carrier through September 8 can get a $100 switcher credit per line.
The BlackBerry Torch 9850 has a 3.7" touchscreen optimized HTML5 browser, trackpad, a 1.2GHz processor, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, microSD, digital compass, BlackBerry OS 7 and 4GB of onboard storage.
BlackBerry 7 integrates BlackBerry Balance, which
separates personal content from corporate content, giving users the
freedom and flexibility to use the smartphone for personal email,
Facebook, Twitter, multimedia, games and other
apps, while satisfying the need for corporate data to be highly secure
and manageable.
