Last weekend, was a simply tabulous for bargain hunters who wanted a full-featured 10" tablet at a ridiculously low price, because HP offered the 16GB HP TouchPad for $99 and the 32GB model for $149. Buyers were clamoring to find out how to get a cheap TouchPad.
Lucky buyers who waited in line at Best Buy or who were first to click on online sales were able to nab the super-cheap tablets.
An HP spokeswoman wrote us "TouchPads are currently sold-out and customers can check with hp.com or retailers for more information," on Thursday.
We spent some time foraging for new HP TouchPad sales information today. An HP rep's Tweet on Friday stated "Confirmed: Breaking news is that we're not getting any news on when - today and through weekend."

The TouchPads are showing up on eBay by profitiers inflating the price as referred to in this Tweet, "I hope HP floods the market with #touchpad so the parasites selling them on eBay at extortionate prices get stuck with em! #touchpadwatch2011."
Someone found a discounted TouchPad in a Staple's via an in-store kiosk. It also appears that Best Buy is strictly enforcing the one-Touchpad-only rule a Tweet stated "best buy sales said 1st come 1st served on #touchpads. They get any grief over limit of 1 pe r cust then security called." Which could mean that some Best Buy stores could still have the coveted TouchPads.
HP's email notification sign-up page is still live. However, individual HP TouchPad pages show "out of stock" which previously showed "coming soon."
If you really want an HP TouchPad the best bet is either the HP sign-up notifications webpage or waiting a few months for eBay. Current TouchPad prices on eBay are around $220 for the 16GB model and $250 for the 32GB TouchPad.
