HTC will launch six to eight new smartphones in the third quarter of this year in preparation of the holiday sales season, many of which will follow in the footsteps of the HTC EVO 3D and HTC Sensation 4G.
HTC CEO Peter Chou said that the third quarter will be stronger quarter because HTC expects high sales of smartphones.
HTC reported smartphone sales of 12.11 million units for
the second quarter of this year, up 25% from a quarter earlier and
exceeding its original projection of between 11 million and 11.5 million
units to hit a new high.
Recent HTC smartphone releases include the HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation 4G and the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, all of which are very popular and have dual-core processors. The other most recent HTC launch was the HTC Status from AT&T with a dedicated Facebook button and cheap price (one-cent at Amazon.com). The HTC Wildfire another budget priced smartphone goes on sale tomorrow.
Upcoming HTC smartphones could be the HTC Vigor which has popped up in a Verizon roadmap, the female-focused HTC Bliss, new Windows Phones and maybe some more T-Mobile branded smartphones.
Earlier this year, HTC filed trademarks for HTC names have both device and software trademarks which may appear in the 2011 Fall HTC roadmap:

- HTC Equalize.
- HTC Port.
- HTC Rift.
- HTC Cobalt.
- HTC Vivid. device only Trademark.
- HTC Pro.
Also on the horizon is the HTC Puccini a 10" tablet with a stylus from AT&T.
