The Nexus S smartphone is very popular for being your Google but not without some Google audio and voice search problems. There are three versions of the Nexus S on T-Mobile, AT&T, and most recently Sprint. Although Google hasn't been able to fix the problem, independent app developers are offering fixes.
The sad part about the situation is that many people bought the Nexus S because it usually gets the fastest updates for Android before any of the carrier branded or bloated Android smartphone.
Since April, Nexus S owners have had problems with Voice Search. A glitch causes voice search to start without holding the search button. Sometimes the Voice Search app flickers on top of other applications. The only way to stop the problem is by rebooting the phone.
The problem even occurs on the AT&T Nexus S with Android 2.3.4 installed.
Here's how it's described
"Me and my co-worker bought our phones at the exact same time, and
he got the problem within a few weeks. Mine was problem free from April
when I bought it till just about a week ago when it out of the blue
went absolutely hardcore into the voice search bug. It became utterly
unusable. I couldn't go more than 30 seconds without it going spastic."
The next Nexus is supposedly named the Nexus Prime and have dual-core processor and other advanced features. Read all Nexus S articles.
