Samsung announced today, its new line of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Samsung Galaxy S smartphones which follow its new letter-coded naming structure. The new phones include the Samsung Galaxy W, Galaxy M Pro, Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro.
The Samsung Galaxy W features a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 1.4GHz processor, 5MP camera, 14.4Mbps HDSPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and comes loaded Samsung games, social and media hubs.
The Samsung Galaxy M Pro looks like a BlackBerry has a QWERTY keyboard, HVGA (320x480) touchscreen, trackpad, 1GHz processor and 5MP camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Y runs Android on a 832MHz
processor, 3." HVGA touchscreen, 2MP camera social hub software. The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro will have keyboard and come with Microsoft Office-compatible software.
The "Pro" stands for keyboard model which will also have business software. "Plus" means an upgrade from a previous model. LTE indicates LTE
(Long-Term Evolution) connectivity.
This Samsung Galaxy S series is the highest-featured premiere of the
lineup. The Samsung Galaxy R is for royal/refined with power,
performance and productivity. Samsung's W (Wonder) and M (Magical) are mid-ranged and mid-priced. Galaxy Y is for "youth" with budget prices and emerging markets.
Most recently, Samsung has released its smartphones all over the world before introducing them in the United States.
