Verizon Roadmap Shows Droid Bionic, Samsung Stratosphere & Xoom 4G LTE Release Dates Along with VZW Fall Line

VerizonRoadMape.JPGA leaked internal Verizon Wireless spreadsheet screenshot shows the roadmap for all and autumn release dates of 4G LTE as well as 3G smartphones and tablets. The big 4G LTE launch day is September 8, when we will finally see the Droid Bionc, a new Samsung Galaxy S II-like smartphone, a new BlackBerry Curve and 4G LTE Motorola Xoom (4G upgrade too).

All the release dates are listed in calendar order below.

September 8, 2011 Verizon Wireless Releases
:

  • Droid Bionic - the much delayed Android 2.3.4 smartphone with 4G LTE access, 1GHz OMAP4430 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4.3? qHD toucscreen, 8MP camera, HD video recording 1080p, VGA front-facing camera, HDMI, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that is Webtop-connectible
  • Samsung Stratosphere -a mysterious 4G LTE smartphone, running Android 2.3, some are wondering if it is a dual-core powerhouse like the Samsung Galaxy S II or it could be the Samsung Slider that was leaked.
  • BlackBerry Curve 9370 - a new BlackBerry that has not been seen before.  It may have 4G LTE access like the next BlackBerry Bold Touch seen at the FCC.
  • Motorola Xoom Update - the planned upgrade to 4G LTE for Motorola's tablet.
  • 4G LTE Xoom - Motorola's Honeycomb tablet with 4G LTE access chip built-in.


September 29, Verizon Wireless Releases:

  • HTC Bliss  - a female-focused HTC Sense, Android phone with pretty colors with charming LED lighted charms.
  • Samsung Illusion - 3G smartphone running Android 2.3.

October Verizon Wireless Releases:

  • HTC Vigor on 10/6 -apparently the 4G LTE successor to the replacement for the HTC Thunderbolt with a 1280x720 touchscreen and 1.5GHz processor.
  • LG Revolution 2 on 10/20 - the next generation 4G LTE LG Revolution.

November Verizon Wireless Releases:
Samsung Galaxy Tab P8 - new Samsung Glaxy Tab tablet with 8.9 touchscreen and hopefully 4G LTE access.

TBD Next Year 2011
Verizon Wireless Releases:

  • BlackBerry Playbook - BlackBerry's 7" security approved tablet.
  • Samsung Plato - an unknown handset.
