According to a forum, CompUSA stores supposedly had TouchPad Bundles with Bluetooth keyboards and Touchstone chargers for $199 (16GB) and $249 (32GB). This important news was posted by someone with the name of Harry Potter.
After a reader posted the information on one of our webpages, we called a CompUSA store in Arlington, Texas and was told that no CompUSA stores have TouchPads in stock.
The store associate said, "We haven't seen any for a long time."
Apparently, CompUSA did have some bundles in a Chicago store at some point.
When we checked at TigerDirect the owner of CompUSA, it clearly states that they do not have any HP TouchPad tablets in-stock and have an email signup form.
"Due to the overwhelming demand we are currently out of stock. We are feverishly in search for more. If you want to be notified please fill out the form below, it will only take you a few seconds. Thank you."
Canalys reported that reviving the HP TouchPad could increase the value as much as double or triple of HP's PC division when it is sold.
The HP TouchPad has now been called one of the most desirable gadgets of the summer. When the price was reduced to$99 for the 16 GB model it sold out in one weekend.
The HP TouchPad blow-out sale was something that seemed too good to be true and now it has turned into a way to "punk" editors and also get website traffic to bogus forums.
Please let me buy a 16GB or 32GB Toeuchpad-bundle, because daugther dreams about such a Pad and an I-PAD is too expensive for me..Sorry.
Bye, Maxance
