HTC has launched the webpages for the HTC Titan, which may be aptly named for its specs or we are hoping not bound for a Titanic ending. AT&T announced that it offer the HTC Titan and it will run Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango).
The HTC Titan has a 4.7” WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen, an ultra-slim 9.9mm unibody contoured design, 1.5Ghz processor, 8MP camera (720p video recording), front-facing camera, 16GB onboard storage, SRS enhancement, 5.1 surround sound for video, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, tethering, GPS, 1600mAh battery and Quad-dband GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
The HTC Titan will ship with HTC Hub similar to HTC Sense and Tango video chart.
The video mentions BlockBuster video for video rental and downloading. Some reviewers have noted that its possible downfall may be the lower resolution (800 x480) screen and single core processor.
Feature touted in the HTC video include:
- The big screen for work and play.
- Largest screen of any Windows Phone.
- No more squinting.
- View and edit confortably.
- Microsoft Large keyboard for fast accurate typing.
- Microsoft Office editing.
The HTC Titan is expected to launch in October in Europe and on the AT&T network in Q4 when we will then know if it will sink, swim or fly off the shelves.
