Samsung Windows Phones: Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash from AT&T with Super AMOLED

Windows Phone MangoAT&T has announced a new Windows Phones the Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash without prices or release dates. They are the successors to the Samsung Focus. AT&T also announced its commitment to update current Windows Phones to Windows Phone Mango 7.5 including the HTC HD7S, HTC Surround, LG Quantum and Samsung Focus.

The Samsung Focus S will have a 4.3" Super AMOLED touchscreen, 8MP camera, front-facing camera, 1.4GHz processor, 4G-capable speeds and a thin profile at 8.55 millimeters.

The Samsung Focus Flash, runs a 1.4 GHz processor and a 5-megapixel camera plus front facing camera. Mango ships with a browser-based on Internet Explorer 9 and supports web standards including HTML5.

In addition to making it easy to get timely notifications and updates from apps right from the Start Screen, the "Mango" release also will show apps as part of search results and within Windows Phone Hubs. Live Tiles will allow real-time information from apps without having to open them. Multitasking lets users switch between apps and allows apps to run in the background.

Windows Phone "Mango" release will connect the web to location awareness, camera and access to apps. When searching for a product, movie, event or place, see a quick summary of relevant information, including related apps.

Windows Phone Mango will feature a new Pictures Hub to improve usability--and usefulness.
