Unlimited data plans are getting less unlimited soon. Sprint confirmed today, that starting October 2, it will cap the $29.99 mobile hotspot plan at 5GB for either 3G or 3G with WiMAX users.
Sprint will continue to offer unlimited data for smartphones through its Everything Data and Simply Everything plans.
Mobile hotspot data is accrued separately from the data used on a Sprint Smartphone.
This could be the foreshadowing of the Sprint iPhone. iPhone users are big data hogs and have been known to cause data outages when attending conventions.
The latest addition to the Sprint smartphone lineup is the Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Epic 4G Touch, with a powerful dual-core processor and excellent benchmark scores. First-look reviews of the Samsung Galaxy S II were excellent but reticent. We will have a review of reviews ready for you over the weekend.
