While Verizon Wireless and Amazon Wireless heavily promote the Droid Bionic, leaks of the next smartphones to be released this fall are coming out.
(Note: Verizon is offering a $100 gift card for trade-ins and Amazon is offering a $50 gift card for Verizon Wireless device-buyers with a two-year contract).
Although we are not sure whether it will be called the HTC Vigor or Droid Incredible HD, a leaked RadioShack screenshot shows an October 20 release date. Other release dates shown are the Samsung Stratosphere on 10/6, Samsung Illusion on 10/20 and BlackBerry Curve in October.
Verizon device management leaked screenshots show that HTC Rhyme (aka HTC Bliss) with 3G EVDO access while the Samsung Stratosphere is shown to have 4G LTE access. Neither will have global world roaming.
Another screenshot showed the Pantech Breakout to be the least expensive 4G LTE to have a $149.99 price tag.
The aforementioned information comes from Droid-Life, a source that we believe has close Verizon connections and most-likely worked for Verizon Wireless. We do warn our readers that leaked screenshots and documents have been wrong in the past because Verizon constantly changes dates and information sent to associates and retailers.
What we do know for sure, is the Droid Bionic that was delayed for what seems like forever will not be the most powerful smartphone on the Verizon network for long. If you need a keyboard, the Samsung Stratosphere is worth waiting for.
Verizon in the past offered some of its fastest and best in time for the holidays and this year should be a stellar year for smartphone releases.
