AT&T through the AT&T Deals Twitter page has announced the BlackBerry Bold 9900 with BlackBerry OS 7 will be released soon. Many believe it will be released on Sunday, November 6 the same date suspected for the new BlackBerrry Torch 9860.
The BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 is the world's thinnest BlackBerry with a dedicated QWERTY keyboard and 2.8" touchscreen. Features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.2GHz processor, GPS, NFC (Near Field Communications), microSD slot, 5MP camera, 768MB of RAM, 8GB onboard memory, and a 1230mAh battery.
The BlackBerry 7 OS delivers speed, efficiency and UI enhancements and enables new hardware capabilities, including HD video recording, more fluid and responsive graphics, digital compass, and augmented reality.
Browsing with BlackBerry OS 7 is 40% faster than BlackBerry OS 6 smartphones and 100% faster than BlackBerry OS 5 smartphones. BlackBerry smartphones can use significantly less data because the BlackBerry platform is more efficient. The BlackBerry OS also has strong security features, needed for business and use by the president of the United States.
