AT&T and Samsung announced today the next member of the Samsung galaxy, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket with 4G LTE and other features that out-class other smartphones on the AT&T network with the highest price tag of $249.99 with a contract. The release date online and in stores is November 6.
The most exciting features of the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket are fast 4G LTE access, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and larger 4.5" Super AMOLED touchscreen which bests the Samsung Galaxy S II on AT&T that has a 4.3" touchscreen and 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket also features Android Gingerbread (2.3.5), 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, with 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1080p HD video recording, 16 GB of on-board memory, microSD expandable to 32 GB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
AT&T offfers LTE in limited markets with LTE service in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. AT&T 4G LTE service will launch Nov. 6 in Boston, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Athens, Ga.
Samsung Galaxy smartphone shipments have increased to push Samsung in top spot as the world maker of smartphones over Apple's iPhone. HTC, however, is the top smartphone maker in the United States.

I have heard so many good things about the Galaxy SII I think that the Skyrocket is going to be great since it has the same dual-core and now LTE. I think the LTE will make the phone great for streaming and downloading.
