Sprint Kills Unlimited Mobile Broadband 4 Day of the Dead

Sprint customers will longer have unlimited mobile broadband or mobile hotspot service starting in November.

Subscribers to  3G/4G Mobile broadband service or Mobile Hotspot Add-on received a notification from Sprint that the data allowances for these services are changing with the next billing period.

Sprint has updated its website to say "If you have a mobile broadband device such as a tablet, netbook, notebook, USB card, connection card or Mobile Hotspot device, effective beginning with your next bill following notification, your on-network monthly data allowance will no longer include unlimited 4G."

After the billing period

  • The 3GB of 3G data with unlimited 4G plan now offers 3GB of 3G/4G data combined
  • The 5GB of 3G data with unlimited 4G plan now offers 5GB of 3G/4G data combined
  • The 10GB of 3G data with unlimited 4G plan now offers 10GB of 3G/4G data combined per month.

Overage charges cost $0.05 per megabyte for those who exceed their monthly limits. The cost of these monthly plans is not changing.
