HP employees, last week, were able to buy HP TouchPads for the incredibly low price of $99 or $149. Consumers are still hoping that there will be some left to buy soon at "fire sale" prices. HP TouchPads are selling for over two-hundred dollars on eBay.
The HP shopping site is now showing the he 32GB TouchPad for $249.99 and 16GB for $219.99 as out of stock.
This leaves plenty of room for conjecture. HP may be testing a new price point for the HP TouchPad when it goes on sale, again.
It could also be a mistake by the web programmers.
Byrna Corocoran whose Twitter account has been a bastion for TouchPad information Tweeted this morning "Morning folks. Happy Monday (blah!). I know you're anxious for news, but I can only share what HP decides to share with me. So far, nada."
HP has the TouchPad accessories in stock today, too. It is not clear yet if the second round of HP Touchpads has also sold-out and if the super cheap $99 TouchPads will ever make a come back.
