Verizon Wireless is the first U.S. Carrier to announce and confirm that it carry the Samsung Galaxy Nexus aka Nexus Prime or Droid Prime. In a news release Verizon said that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available later this year. Some suspect the released date may be as soon as November. Pricing is expected to be around $300.

Texas Instruments claims that its dual-core processors have the ability to provide hardware-integrated security, distinctive and advanced imaging features, enhanced memory and more, all on a smart multicore architecture.

We have too many pun makers around here. The word "prime" was being used as verb in the title. The never-ending changes of phone names makes the etymologists on staff play with words.
