Today may be your last chance to buy an HP TouchPad for the low price of $149 as long as you buy an HP or Compaq computer from BestBuy.com starting, today. The website was busy but as of this writing there was not notice of short supply or out-of-stock.
The Best Buy HP TouchPad webpage warns "Quantities limited. Limit one per order. If you return the computer that qualifies you to purchase the HP TouchPad at this price and you do not return the Touchpad at the same time, your return will void the $450 combined purchase savings and you will owe more money than you originally paid."
If you need a computer anyway the HP TouchPad makes a great holiday gift, noted one holiday gift guide.
If you are anxious to get your TouchPad online, then pickup it up at your local Best Buy store. Without the offer the HP TouchPad Tablet with 32GB Memory sells for $599.99
The sale in stores will start on Friday. For those waiting in line at BestBuy stores, an hour before the Best Buy stores open, employee will hand out tickets, you can't get a TouchPad without a ticket. An hour after opening any unclaimed TouchPads will be available without a ticket. Returns will only be accepted within in 14 days. The HP TouchPad sold-out and flew off the shelves when it was reduced to $99 for 16 GB and $149 for 32 GB. A second run was sold-out to employees who spent the whole day ordering HP TouchPads with some complaining about the loss of work time.
How are these the same:
$99 tablet... no additional purchase needed.
$150 tablet... but only if you also buy a $500 computer that you don't need or want.
