Verizon Wireless started selling the HTC Rezound(Vigor) with its own special features, today.
The HTC Rezound is the first superphone with an HD (1280 x 720) touchscreen and the first smarpthone in the United States to have Beats audio from Dr. Dre with special Beats earphones included. Sound is called "studio quality sound" in the Verizon Wireless commercial. Beats earphones can retail for $120-180 when sold separately. We researched the current best prices for new and renewing customers for the HTC Rezound.
Out of the box, the HTC Rezound will run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), but will be Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) ready when Google upgrades its operating system.

It comes with the latest version of HTC Sense 3.5 lets users aggregate multiple social media channels into one organized stream of updates.
The lowest price we found for the HTC Rezound from Amazon Wireless and it is already backordered shipping in 8 to 9 days at $199 for new customers and $229.00 for renewing customers with a contract. The Droid RAZR that debuted on Amazon for $111.11 is selling for the same prices.
The HTC Rezound is more bulky and heavier than RAZR which does not come with headphones. The 1.5GHz processor has been called the fastest around. The RAZR has a 1.2GHZ dual-core processor, water shielding coating and Gorilla Glass. The Rezound sounds better for audiophiles. The Droid RAZR's battery is not removable. The prices may drop after the holidays but you could get less data deals, Verizon Wireless doubled the amount of 4G LTE data for the price through the holidays.
The HTC Rezound at Wirefly offers a good discount but not as cheap as Amazon Wireless.
