Review of News: Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Prime Candidate for Fastest Android 4.0 Tablet Update?

Asus Transformer PrimeIt's a tablet.  No it is  notebook computer.  Hey wait its a transformational Tegra 3 quad-core 10.1 tablet with bells and whistles along with a matching thin keyboard - the Asus Transformer Prime. 

The Asus Transformer Prime is expected to have an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of this year which could make it the first Android 4.0 tablet.  It could also be the best holiday present, because it will go on sale in December. The specs and look are spectacular with competitive pricing.

The 32GB Asus Transformer Prime will sell for $499, which is the price of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (16GB) or the iPad 2 (16GB).  It will cost $599 for a 64GB model.

The Asus Transformer Prime is 8.3mm thin and weighs 586g, which is a bit heavier than the Tab 10.1, but lighter than the iPad 2.

Features include, mini-HDMI output, microSD slot, 1280 x 800, Super IPS+ Gorilla Glass touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, GPS, gyroscope, SonicMaster audio, 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera and 8MP camera with 1080p video recording.

The Asus Transformer Prime will come in two colors - metallic swirled Amethyst Gray and Champagne Gold and has a special clip /clasp to hold the two pieces together

The Asus Transformer Primee has a battery life of up to 12 hours, but when combined with the mobile dock, it lasts up to an incredible 18 hours.

The hydro-oleophobic coating  makes it more fingerprint-resistant. Preliminary reviewers call it a "killer device" that is "dressed to impress".
