Samsung VP of product planning Nick DiCarlo made an appearance along with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Fox Business' After the Bell. Although some are saying there is nothing new from the interview. The text on the screen shows "Samsung to release Galaxy Nexus later this month" while DiCarlo does not mention a month or date(video follows).
In the interview, reporter Liz Claman said that she asked every CEO in the Silicon Valley to show her the smartphone they were using. Some had gotten the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at AllThings Digitial in Asia when it was announced. Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners told her how much they loved it, which inspired her to asks DiCarlo to make a visit to the show.
DiCarlo demoed, face unlock, real-time voice dictation. He dictated an email message, and showed the dictation to the camera.
When asked when the Galaxy Nexus would be released, DeCarlo said, "A little bit later this year."
"We are working hard with the Galaxy brand," DiCarlo said.
When asked how much it will cost, DiCarlo answered "Hopefully Verizon will let us know very soon."
DiCarlo did not mention any other carriers for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus other than Verizon Wireless. Instead, he mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy SII is available through other carriers, which could mean the other carriers may not be selling the then Nexus for a while.
Samsung has improved its status in the market because it makes its own Super AMOLED screen, processors, memory and design, noted DiCarlo.
We do not have official release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Yesterday, cases were reported to have been seen in Verizon stores and a battery-use screenshot was leaked. Tomorrow the Droid RAZR goes on sale at 11:11 am and reviews are coming out now.
All we know for sure is the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be released by Verizon Wireless. Keep your fingers crossed that it will be before the holidays are over because Verizon Wireless doubled the amount of 4G LTE data for the price.

"coming later this month" means nothing. We are still back at anywhere from Nov 17th to Nov 30th. Perosnally, I think it will be available for pre-order on Nov 21st.
Wow. Those news anchors have no idea of Samsung. Cheap end brand? That is pretty rude. Samsung has been one of the best manufacturer of cellphones and televisions for a while.. Just because they never heard of it, doesn't make it a cheap brand that is growing. It's just that they didn't get much international attention for long time.
The news anchors are not correct -- Samsung is neither new or cheap...
