Windows Phone Samsung Focus & HTC Radar Remembered in Herald Square Free $25 Apps

Windows phone HeraldThe world's largest Windows Phone, 150 times bigger than actual size, six stories high came to life in New York City and was remembered in Herald Square near Broadway.  Today there was a live action event with people populating the tiles on the phone to celebrate the launch of the HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash.

Microsoft put real people inside the Windows Phone to bring to life the phone’s key features and experiences.  A life-size “Plants vs. Zombies” battle game to show the  Xbox LIVE gaming experience.

The electro hip hop group Far Eastern Movement drew huge crowds at their midday show bringing  the Music + Video Hub to life.

The theme of the day connecting people showed a permanent matriomonial connection when a New York man proposed to his girlfriend from inside the phone.

Features of the HTC Radar include 3.8" touchscreen 1GHz processor 5MP camera, Wi-Fi hotspots, 4G access and 8GB storage. There's a dedicated camera button that works even when the phone is locked.

The Samsung  Focus S and Flash were released on November 6 for $199 and $49.99 respectively with contracts.

The Samsung Focus S has a 4.3" Super AMOLED touchscreen, 8MP camera, front-facing camera, 1.4GHz processor, 4G-capable speeds and a thin profile at 8.55 millimeters.The Samsung Focus Flash, runs a 1.4 GHz processor and a 5-megapixel camera plus front facing camera. Mango ships with a browser-based on Internet Explorer 9 and supports web standards including HTML5.
