The Droid 4 is a dual-core superphone with many of the features of the Droid RAZR for Verizon's 4G LTE network and was expected last week, but there was small problem with the network.
For a very brief time, the Droid 4 appeared on Verizon's Droid Does website and then was pulled. We've seen this automatic page update problem before, then someone writes about the mysterious page and its gone. We know that Verizon monitors the press frequently. However, the page was captured and saved on the web, by PocketNow.
There are some details in the description that appeared ever so briefly:
- 5-Row full QWERTY keyboard with LED edge-lit keys.
- Corning Gorilla Glass 4"(qHD) touchscreen.
- 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
- 1GB RAM for fast UI.
- 1080p video capture and playback.
- HDMI mirroring.
- 1785mAh battery.
- Motocast for wireless file streaming.
- FIPS 140-2 government grade encryption.
- 8MP camera, front camera.
- Android 2.3 upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Droid 4 is the fourth Droid in the series that began with the original Droid two years ago. The double data for the price deal from Verizon Wireless. is expected to be available through the holidays.
