  • Qualcomm announced that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission has approved the sale of its Lower 700 MHz D and E Block (Channel 55 and 56) unpaired U.S. spectrum licenses to AT&T.
  • Starting Saturday, December 24 at 2 AM EST, when you search for "Santa" on Google Maps on an Android device, you can see his current location as he travels around the world. Or, download the full NORAD Tracks Santa app (http://goo.gl/zLrIN).
  • The NPD group reported that U.S. consumers taking photos and videos on their smartphones has grown, while the share of the consumers using cameras and traditional camcorders has declined. The share of photos taken with a smartphone (Apple iPhone or any other smartphone) went up from 17% last year to 27% this year, while the share of photos taken on any camera dropped down from 52% to 44%.
