AT CES, two new the Verizon Wireless Droid RAZR models are introduced the Droid RAZR in purple and DROID RAZR MAXX. The release of the Droid RAZR in purple signals a price drop for the original Droid RAZR.
The original DROID RAZR received great reviews, was number two in the top best smartphones of 2011 and number one rated on the Verizon Wireless network. Now, you can have your thinness and strength in purple. The DROID RAZR in Purple will be $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. Since the Droid RAZR MAXX will sell for $299.99 we expect the price of original Droid RAZR to drop, also.
The Verizon website is still showing the original Droid RAZR for $299. If you want more battery power and have $300 spend its worth waiting for the Droid RAZR MAXX with improved battery life.
The Droid RAZR at first came in Black, then it was released in white on December 15. The other purple phone on the Verizon Wireless network is the HTC Rhyme that has matching accessories and a purse leash to retrieve it. The closest competitor tot he Droid RAZR is the Galaxy Nexus which received slightly less favorable reviews.
Specs of the DROID RAZR include a 4.3" curved Gorilla glass Super AMOLED and 8-megapixel rear camera records 1080p HD video. Other features include 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16 GB on board, mobile hotspots, 1780mAh battery and enterprise features (remote wipe/encryption, calendar and contacts).
