BillFloat in surveying the why and how of bill paying found that bill paying is so overwhelming that many would give up a lot including their precious cell phones.
What would people be willing to give up in order to avoid paying bills:
- One quarter (25 percent) of respondents would turn off their TV for an entire month to have someone else pay their bills.
- One in five women would abstain from sex for six months to get bills paid. Only 16 percent of men would abstain.
- Twenty-one percent would be willing to give up digital devices and cell phones for a month.
- Only 14 percent would go without the Internet for a month.

They give an example of a $125 bill floated for one month that will cost $142.05 which could be better than a pay day loan, but still a stiff price to pay.
This idea might go well here in England, there are a lot of people criticising payday loans which arre being heavily promoted on the television
