iPhone 4S, Droid Bionic & Galaxy Nexus Win Over Windows Phone - Windows Phone Wins Over Samsung Galaxy, BlackBerry, Skyrocket & More

Yesterday, our readers left some comments about where the Windows Phone smoke should be blown out from. We don't use those kind of words to describe parts of the human anatomy, but we can say it was from a part of the body where cigarettes usually don't smoke. The Windows Phone challenge at CES asks smartphone owners to perform tasks faster than a Windows Phone.

Windows Phone is getting a lot of attention at CES and was even featured in the New York Times as well as Wireless and Mobile News. Analysts are saying that Windows Phone is gaining momentum.

The two people were able to see win were a tech blogger and product manager.  Maybe geeks are just faster at smartphones.

Windows Phone smoke-out results for Windows Phone wins was:

  • 30 wins.
  • 3 losses.
  • 1 draw.
  • Windows Phone beat to the software punch: A few each of iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, Galaxy Nexus, ATT Skyrocket, Droid Charge, Droid Bionic, HTC EVO 4G,  various BlackBerries, Palm Pre Plus.
  • Phones that beat Windows Phone  iPhone 4s (posted a picture to Twitter just a hair faster), Droid Bionic, (got an SMS to a friend a smidge faster than PC Buy), and Galaxy Nexus (also posting a photo to Twitter).
Here are the latest videos from the CES show floor.  Microsoft had to give away $300.00 dollars and we see alternative smartphone owners with their tails of smoke between their legs. The  Samsung Galaxy Nexus winner, a product manager, had a competitive edge because his fingers probably were faster and his software knowledge greater.
One of the main reasons that Windows Phone smokes out the competition is the dedicated camera button that does not require the phone to on or the user to login to operate.   The integrated software also helps speed things up.
We also think that pure geeks use some functions so often on their iPhone 4S, Droid Bionic and Samsung Galaxy Nexus that pure geek power can blow more smoke than Windows Phone.  Most "normal" users pale to fast easy software.  The Galaxy Nexus has a way to send photos to Twitter directly from the photo which also could have made the Nexus win.
Network capability could also figure in the Bionic and Galaxy Nexus have 4G LTE while the Windows Phone probably did not have LTE access. If it is the HTC  Titan the data network would not be as fast.  The Las Vegas Convention Center is notorious for causing network problems.
You are welcome to comment, but we would like you to keep out the swear words.
