Verizon Wireless is now offering the 4G LTE Revolution by LG for free with a new account activation. The LG Revolution was the predecessor to the LG Spectrum that was recently launched. The deal ends February 5.
It was named one of the top smartphones at Verizon Wireless in 2011. Every reviewer we reviewed rated the LG Revolution 3.5 and found the good points to be the bright 4.3" touchscreen, 4G LTE data speeds and Netflix.
Specs of the LG Revolution include a 4.3-inch (800 x 480) touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, DivX compatibility, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot capabilities (8 connections), a microSD card slot, records/plays 1080p HD video, a rear-facing, 5-megapixel camera, a front-facing camera for video conferencing, added-on LG user interface and Bing search. It comes with a 16GB microSD installed.
Verizon is also offering the Samsung Illusion for free with a new line. The 3G, 1GHZ processor Samsung Illusion has a 3MP camera, SWYPE typing app, supports up to 5 mobile hotspots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and comes with a 2GB microSD card.
The Samsung Illusion has some environmentally friendly features:
- Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Platinum Rating – the Samsung Illusion scored 84 out of 119 points to receive the “Platinum” UL rating.
- Rear casing and battery cover are made from 70 percent post-consumer material and 35 percent of the front casing is post-consumer material
- Packaging made from bleach-free paper (post-consumer waste) and printed with vegetable ink
- Box material uses 60 percent recycled paper (post-consumer waste)
